Considered an icon among members of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) who’ve ever needed a little help with Photoshop, Peter Bauer serves as the KelbyOne Help Desk Director. Along with his invaluable assistance to NAPP, he’s also the author of the bestseller, Photoshop for Dummies, and a seasoned photographer of more than 40 years.

After enlisting in the US Army in the mid-80′s, Peter carried his camera while serving his country. While stationed in Germany, Peter was introduced to Adobe Photoshop. By the time his Army service ended, he had devoted himself professionally to Photoshop. He quickly became an Adobe Certified Expert and began teaching Photoshop and computer graphics in workshops and later at the university level.

In the late 1990s, Pete became a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals and soon after, he accepted the challenge of heading up the newly formed NAPP Help Desk.

In addition to serving as the current KelbyOne Help Desk Director, authoring several books and writing for Photoshop User and Layers magazines, Pete is also an active lecturer and has recently joined the University of Notre Dame’s Department of Art, Art History & Design as an adjunct professor.
